Project Description: Kravis Prize

The team at the Kravis Prize in Nonprofit Leadership, affiliated with Claremont McKenna College, was seeking to improve upon its existing site that was built in WordPress. The priorities that were defined for a site redesign were to make the site cleaner, to enhance responsiveness, to prominently feature the site’s blog, and to increase the use of dynamic elements. Lei worked with the client to implement Highmaps to build an interactive map to display the geographic scope of the impact prize recipients have had around the world. A dynamic timeline featuring the recipients, along with a revamped recipients landing page were dramatic improvements over the way in which this information was displayed in the old site. The blog and sidebars were overhauled to be consistent in their appearance. Lastly, Lei helped set up embedded MailChimp forms, and enhanced the usability of the nomination form on the site.
